Weekly Update February 7, 2014

A note about Movie Night

Thank you to all who came out and participated.

Please be aware that the auditorium was left a complete stye with pizza crusts and popcorn everywhere. Please remember that when we use the school for activities, we need to respect our school as if it were our home and clean up after ourselves.

If we don't engage in a thoughtful and respectful way in our school, we will no longer be able to serve popcorn and food as part of our future plans.

Parents, please remind your children that it is their responsibility to treat the school in this manner.

Coach Kait's Goodbye

Thank you to all teachers, staff and parents for the constant love and support over the past two years. Although I am leaving McCall School, I hope to maintain the relationships that have been built through this wonderful community.

The Playworks program needs your continued support in welcoming McCall's newest coach, Bianca Cook. Coach B has worked with Playworks for two years and has been a member of Americoprts for four. She is ready to meet new faces, play hard and have fun at McCall. Let's show her what we've got.

Peace, Love and Foursquare,

Coach Kait

We are seeking donations of clementines, fortune cookies and small water bottles.

Box Tops

Did you know that all of the Box Tops your school turns in by the end of February count toward this school year?

  1. Check your kitchen pantry and cupboards - It's like shopping in your pantry - check the items you already have and clip those Box Tops. Not done with your cereal yet? That's ok - consider moving it into a container so you can clip the Box Top off and make it count this school year.
  2. Don't forget about those other places in your house - Bath tissue, socks, office supplies . oh my. Venture outside the kitchen and make sure you clip all those extra Box Tops.
  3. Ask friends and family - It never hurts to ask.
  4. Put a collection bin at your desk at work - Have you told your coworkers that you collect Box Tops? They may want to help. Make your own little collection bin and watch the Box Tops pile up.
  5. Stock up at the store - Take advantage of our coupons this month to stock up and save - and clip those Box Tops right away.
  6. Enter the Box Tops Daily Bonus Sweepstakes - Your school could be one of 28 schools to win 1,000 eBoxTops. You can enter every day, from February 1 - 28, 2014.
  7. Earn more with Bonus eBoxTops Builder - Shop your favorite retailer between February 2 and February 8, buy any 10 Box Tops participating products, scan the receipt, submit it to BTFE.com/receipts and earn 50 Bonus eBoxTops for your school.
  8. Fill up a collection sheet - Challenge your family - fill out our February collection sheet by Valentine's Day. Don't forget to send it to school when it's full.
  9. Don't let them slip through your fingers - Put reminder notes near your trash can and recycle bin so you never have an "oh no" moment with Box Tops.
  10. Send them in - The most important step. Don't just leave them sitting in a drawer or forgotten on a box - get them to your school or Coordinator today to make them count for this school year.

P.S.Don't worry if you can't get them in this month - your school is always collecting Box Tops and they can turn them in for next school year, too.

Go to http://www.boxtops4education.com for more information

That's right. All those Box Tops turned in this month will count toward the checks Box Tops will write to schools later this spring. That is money your school could use THIS school year. Think of all the things your school could do with more money this year. So clip' em and turn 'em in to your kids school today.

Attention RecycleBank Members

We have already had 33 Recyclebankers donate $304.62 to George McCall School so far. Just $2195.38 to go.

Boxtop Results Through December Are In

We are off to a great start and thank you to all who have made our graph soar. Yet, we have many classrooms still not represented.

Parents, these little pink box tops are not only cash for McCall, but could earn your child's class an afternoon with the icecream truck in the spring. Ask your friends, relatives and others to clip those box tops and save them for you to turn in.

Teachers, please remind your children too. Lets make the competition fierce in 2014.

Check your cereal boxes, baggies and soup cans (among a slew of others) and send in those box tops with your children.
